The SLAT Student Association cordially invites all students and faculty to the 11th Annual SLAT Roundtable at The University of Arizona. Paper presentations, poster presentations, panel discussions, a hands-on Web 2.0 workshop and other events will be offered during the 2 days. Registration is free (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XQJHHP5), and all are welcome to attend.
The Keynote Address will be given by Dr. Steven Thorne, Assistant Professor, Second Language Acquisition, Portland State University, Oregon and University of Groningen, the Netherlands at 5:00 pm on March 2 in Modern Languages, room 311.
The Plenary speech titled 'Subversive Multimodal Discourses in Multilingual Contexts: Slogans, Protest Signs and Facebook Posts from the Tunisian Revolutions' will be given by Dr. Sonia Shiri, Middle East Language Programs Coordinator, Near Eastern Studies, The University of Arizona at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 3 in Modern Languages, Room 311.
